San Diego Unified Council of PTAs

We advocate for all children and youth in the San Diego Unified School District. The San Diego Unified Council of PTAs serves the community through education, collaboration and resource services.

We’re Here to Help

Our goal is to ensure that individual units have the training, resources, and tools that help them run a successful PTA. San Diego Unified Council of PTAs provides service, support, training, leadership, and guidance to 81 PTA units. We assist units through communication, training, unit visits, and projects. On this site you will find a number of resources that will help you run a successful PTA. Check back often for updates and new information. We are here to help, so do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

New Resource from San Diego Unified

Distance learning is live!

Distance Learning is the new normal for students in San Diego. All students who are able to access their classes online are expected to participate. Teachers will be available to engage with students daily. This may involve connecting via Zoom and conducting morning meetings, digital discussions or lectures. Flexibility is important, as many parents are adjusting to working from home. Parents should communicate their own needs, challenges and goals to teachers and staff. We’re all in this together. The move to distance learning can be challenging, and that is why San Diego Unified has created this digital guide to help with the transition. For distance learning fundamentals and resources for parents including schedules and lesson plans, visit  San Diego Distance Learning.
